Hello. This is the blog for Dialogue, a 3rd year degree show for students studying on the Advertising & Brand Communication course at UCA Farnham. Our aim is to create more than the show itself, but to showcase the variety of thinking and approaches taken by the students themselves. One aspect shared throughout is the ability to create ideas for any media that are more than just a message. Based upon this thought, the aim of this space is to document and develop the story behind our show and create a dialogue with those who take an interest. With this, we hope that the experience of all those who take a second to participate (even if you just read this blog) will be enriched. Please use Firefly for your comments.
Student Bloggers
Whilst we are working away creating our masterpieces for this show, a few of the people involved are also Bloggers. We are all nice people, not the sort of Internet junkies you see skulking around at night in an anorak with a wolves tail, dragging surreptitiously behind! Most of the Bloggers I will list in a minute use their Blogs to communicate what they are doing as they look to leave university and start a career. We are all mostly communications-based Bloggers but nonetheless you will find some unusual posts covering areas seemingly unconnected. We all enjoy stuff that makes us think, work that gets us excited and work that is simply really effective. We see Blogs as thought streams for things we don’t want to forget and things we want others to enjoy as much as we have. We have also noticed that there does not seem to be a correlation between the Bloggers, our course and the creative/strategic split of the industry. The writers are a mixture between prospective creative teams, possible account and strategists and a few nutty graphic designers thrown in.
